What we collect when you create an account

• Handle — shown publicly next to restrooms you add and reactions you leave.
• Email address — used to identify your account and, unless you opt out, to send occasional MAPP updates.
• City and state, and age — used to understand who uses MAPP. Never shown publicly.
• Password — stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read.

What is public

Your handle, the restrooms you submit, and your emoji reactions. Your individual star ratings are combined into an average; they are not shown under your name.

Email

You can opt out of emails when you sign up, or at any time from the account menu on the map.

Location

If you allow it, your browser's location is used on your device to centre the map and build directions. It is sent to the mapping and routing services that draw the map, but MAPP does not store it.

Age

You must be at least 13 to create an account.

Cookies

MAPP sets one cookie to keep you logged in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Deleting your account

Use "Contact an admin" in the account menu on the map and your account, ratings and reactions will be removed.

Contact form

Messages you send through the contact form (name, email, handle and message) are kept so an admin can reply.

Approximate location

If your browser cannot share a location, MAPP may centre the map on your city, estimated from your internet connection. This is not stored.
